I haven't done much of anything with the book. Or with any projects for that matter. Life has been kind of crazy lately. Lots of changes, lots of stuff happening.
I want to start querying Lodestar/whatever title I give it. But is it too soon? Am I ready? Do I have thick enough skin to handle this process?
How are your WiPs going?
YOU CAN DO IT! If you think you're ready to query, edit one more time, then query. That's the advice I read out there and I think it's a good one!
ReplyDeleteMy WIP is a complete mess right now. WOO HOO!
OMG, I thought you were writing a political action book of some type. (read previous post) I voted for First Star Rising as I tend to buy books that hint at strong characterization. Don't know if I'd fudge the WIP to match a fav title as once Pandora's box opens all sorts of stuff flies out. Good luck!
ReplyDeletePerhaps have your query partner read the whole thing before deciding. I have my query letter done. I still need to do my revision on voice and let my critique partner read the whole thing before I can say I'm done. I haven't got any writing done this month because of my daughter's activities. But next month should be much better.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, sometimes life happens, right? I haven't worked on my dystopian in a couple weeks and haven't written anything new on my middle grade for over a month! Some day I'll get back to them, some day...
ReplyDeleteGosh, I haven't even gotten close to querying the dystopian, despite my hopes to have queried by now.
Best of luck with Lodestar!
Hi fellow query ninja! I also have an end of March deadline so we can be query buddies :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we are on the same journey and we both like photography to boot. :)
ReplyDeleteAs for my WIP, I have been off the wagon lately but I guess I have a decent excuse. Teehee (you can check my blog for what). I am trying to get focused today to get the momentum back. I know that writing is as much about creativity as it is discipline so I need to get back on it!
Nice to meet you. Thanks for your post!
