Wow, first of the year! Except, I have no WiP to report any progress on.
That's where you guys come in.
I need a beta reader. A writer beta reader. A male writer beta reader.
Yes, I'm getting that specific. The MC in Lodestar is a guy. And I'm worried, after some partial feedback and just from my own neurotic worry-gland, that he sounds too girly.
So I need someone, a guy and also a writer because then they can catch any other issues that my other male beta might not see (Love you, Geoff), to read the manuscript and look at those overall things. Especially the manliness of my MC.
This will get me one step closer to my 2011 goal of revising and querying this book. Thanks in advance.
(Oh, and if you happen to be a male writer who is/was in the military and/or NASA, that'd be even better. Preferably both NASA and USAF and male and writer. But I won't get too picky if no one meets that.)

ReplyDeleteHave you tried posting in places like Nathan's forum, Forward Motion or other writer's communities. You might have better luck snagging someone from a bigger pool who fits the criteria.
Good luck with getting it revised and queried! My goal is to finish and revise :)
