Footloose and Fancy-free Friday Websites

Okay, so I did some updating to my author website last night.

But when I click the link on my Facebook profile, it's a no-go.  It doesn't take me to the website.

So I'm thinking it's time to buy my own domain name instead of using Apple's MobileMe program.

The problem is, I don't know where to go for such a thing.  I know that there are a lot of search results that pop up when I type in "domain names" in an engine.  But which are reputable, easy to use, and so on?

Which did you use for purchasing your domain?  Does it matter, even?

Oh, and please take a look at the site and let me know what you think.

  1. I purchased mine through Google. That's why there's no 'blogspot' in my website address, even though it's through Blogger. You should be able to sign up for your domain through your dashboard. Look under 'settings.'

  2. You can also buy from places like GoDaddy.com. QT has a post that Carolyn Kaufman did a sometime last month, I think, that gives you a few other places you can go where it's super cheap.

  3. I used Godaddy.com to save my domain names. I own theresamilstein.com and substituteteacher'ssaga.com but I haven't done anything with them yet.

  4. Yep. I used godaddy as well. I didn't use them for my writing blog, but for my family one. Anyways, they're pretty helpful around there. Good Luck.
