What would you Do?

Hey, look at that!  It's another "What would you do?" feature!  I know, you'd almost forgotten that I at one point wanted this to be a regular thing.

Today's scenario:

What would you do if you had the chance to go back to one day in your life, but you could only change one sentence you spoke?  Is there a day you'd choose?  Would you choose it?

What about your MC?  Would they take the option?  You don't have to tell which day they'd choose to change something they said.  I would never ask you to give spoilers or anything.

Me?  There's a day I'd go back to.  I know exactly what it would be.  Although the whole time I'd be wishing I could go back and erase a lot more than just that.  I'd go back to one of the days I hurt my dad the most and stop myself from saying what I did.

My MC?  He'd maybe go back to the day he got careless with something and it really hurt him in the end.

  1. Oh man, what a good question. The truth is, I would be too afraid of what I would change in the future. I've had some horrible times because of things I've done, but I can't really know what good things came out of those horrible times.
My MC would feel the same. The one thing she would change would be the one thing that's brought her the love of her life. To change the bad would take away the good.

  2. Hmm. That's a tough question. For me, I have no idea. I'm sure there is, but I can't think of any right now.

For my character: yes. Then she would never have been broken.

  3. I've sure said a lot of things I regret. I know what day I'd go back to and not have that fight with my hubby. I think one of my MCs would go back and say "no" instead of "yes," but then again maybe she wouldn't.

  4. Oh yeah, my big mouth has said some stupid things. I'd probably go back and change something I said to my husband.

As for my main character? My current one says whatever she thinks so she'd have plenty of choices too!

  5. For me, there are many times I wish I had said NO instead of yes (and just as many times I wish I had said YES instead of no!).

As for my MC... well, she almost always regrets taking on her current BIG case, so in that way, she's probably like me: saying yes instead of no. Only in her case, the consequences of her Yes & No are a bit bigger.
