I'm a pantser. Through and through I am a pantser.
That's just the truth of it.
I wonder sometimes what it's like on the other side of the fence, but I just can't do it.
I try. But I can't.
So, I'm going back to my usual vague outline. Once I get that nailed down, I'll be able to resume writing.
Oh, and it's supposed to snow.
I went golfing on Wednesday and it's supposed to snow.
I hate winter. I want it to be spring.
That is all. Full day at work today so I won't be around until later this evening.
I have the opposite point of view and sometimes I wonder if being a pantser isn't sooo much better. (The grass is always greener...) Planning stories out to within an inch of their lives is really stressful and can be limiting, but I can't write any other way. I think vague outlines are the best! You have a guideline and know where you want to go, but you're not restricting yourself. Good luck and happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYou have to go with what works for you. I'm not much of a planner, either. I feel like I write more intuitively.
ReplyDeleteI'm a planner- it's the only way I don't get lost.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for spring!
I'm a combo, but more of a plotter than a pantser. There's no right way, but it's cool to hear how other people write.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of snow, but sometimes it's so magical. I don't like to drive in it, though--or to be cold--so my snow cravings are very small. ;)
