Tantalus Tuesday...er...Thursday

Okay, so I realized yesterday morning that I never gave you a Tantalus Tuesday this month.

So, I decided to get it to you on the last Thursday of the month.  (And the last day of the year, too.  Look at that.)

As you read yesterday I'm still not done with Oracles Promise.  But I'm far enough along that I can give you a little teaser from much later in the book than the other teasers have been.
