Poems written this week: 6. It's more than I thought I'd written! Wahoo! One of them will likely never see the light of day. It was more therapy-poem than anything else. But I'm losing my poetry mojo and I don't know why.

World-building achieved this week: I've made it into the age in which my WIP is set. I'm giving myself the weekend to finish it. I have a lot to get done in that short amount of time. As the history has narrowed down to only focusing on the kingdom in which my WIP is set I've realized the need to go back and write the histories for surrounding kingdoms, especially those that were never included in the history I've already written. Once I get the history done I can move on to character bios, hammering out the details of my plot, and the all-important detailed outline. So much to do, so little time to do it in...*sigh*
It will happen when it is supposed to happen, I have learned. I set aside time to create, and then I don't feel like creating. Or I will be sweeping the floor and planning the grocery list and then I have to stop and create immediately. Even 30 seconds lost seems like a tragedy. I am impressed by your accountability here. I think I need to track my progress somewhere documentable, also. Nice inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIt is so very true. I sometimes think I should get a dictaphone or something similar to carry with me so that when those flashes come when driving I can take note of them. Good luck in your writings!
